Call for Proposals NAFCC 36th National Annual Conference

NAFCC is now seeking proposals for workshop presentations at our 36th National Annual Conference in 2026. We invite you to share your expertise and success stories with family child care professionals at this premier event, taking place in Chicago, Illinois.

Conference Dates: July 16 – July 18, 2026

Information About Proposals and Presentations:

Proposal Guidelines

  • 90-minute workshops will be offered Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17, 2026.
  • 2-hour workshops will be offered Saturday, July 18, 2026 (8am-10am).
  • Sessions should be interactive, engaging, and informative.
  • Average session size on Thursday & Friday is expected to be 50 attendees.
  • Average session size on Saturday is expected to be 150+ (depending on room assignment).
  • Presenters are responsible for providing their own handouts.
  • NAFCC will provide a screen and projector. Any other AV needs will be the responsibility of the presenter.
  • Even if you are just coming to present, primary presenters and co-presenters must register for the full conference.
  • Presenters are responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses.
  • Sales or promotional materials are not permitted during workshop presentations.

Presenter Benefits

  • Primary presenters will receive a 50% discount on full conference registration. A coupon code will be provided to register for conference by the conference team once your proposal has been accepted.

Conference Presenters

We would like to inform you that your workshop could be scheduled to take place on one of the days between Thursday, July 16 and Saturday, July 18, 2026. Please note that there will only be 3-4 sessions on Saturday from 8am-10am. Please ensure that you are available during these days to present your session as part of the conference programming.

How to Apply
Complete proposals are due by February 2, 2026, and must include the following:

  • Workshop Title
  • Workshop Description
  • Learning Objectives/Outcomes
  • Workshop Language
  • Level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)

Important dates

  • Proposal Deadline: February 2, 2026
  • Notification of Proposal Status: February 20, 2026:
    A coupon code will be provided for primary presenters to register for conference by the conference team once your proposal has been accepted.
